Week 19

Hola todos como están!! I hope all is well and this week's email is going to be quite short because I don't have too much time. We're busy playing domino's. Anyways this week we had the opportunity to put one of our friends on date for baptism. It's been so cool to see the changes he's made to prepare for this. This was definitely the highlight of the week. The rest just consisted of our neighbors getting absolutely wasted, my comp buying a table, and I think that's pretty much it so I'll just answer the questions now. Oh yeah we also had Thanksgiving which was fun, we made a whole chicken and it was really yummy. Also this week was transfers but nothing really happened so I'm chilling here in Villa Altagracia and I'm very happy with that. Okay now for questions.

What counsel would you give to your sisters in dealing with junior high and high school?
        - only worry about yourself and don't care about what other people think. Trust the plan God has for you.
What stories do you tell the Dominicans about Gilbert?
       - I tell them about how hot it is and that it never rains.
Are they impressed with your hunting?
       - When I show them a picture of me hunting they always see the gun and are absolutely shocked. They think it's super cool.
Is there any hunting in the DR?
        - No sadly there isn't
Besides drinking, playing loud music and dominos. what do the Dominicans do for fun?
-they go to the river or the beach. They also like to play card games and other games like sorry.

Spiritual thought: today I want to talk about the importance of prayer. Before my mission when I prayed it was jusy something did to check of the list or when I needed something. Since being on my mission I've realized that this wasn't the best habit. As I've come to pray every night telling my Father in Heaven everything about my day about my life about everything I've noticed a change. I find more peace in prayer and I've come to know that he listens to my prayers. He listens to every single one of our prays no matter how long or how short. This week I want to invite all of you to get on your knees before bed and just talk to your Father in Heaven. Tell him about your day or tell Him whatever you want to. He wants to hear about your day just as much and your best friend or parents want to hear about it. I know He lives and that He loves us more than we can imagine.
Have a wonderful day!
