Week 2

 Hola mis familia y amigos

    I hope you all are doing well. This week had been a pretty good week so far. Yesterday we had the opportunity to teach Yomi who is a either a pretend investigator or a actual investigation they don’t tell us. That went pretty well and we were able to teach her about the love God has for her and all of his children. She ended up excepting our invitation to pray and we are going to meet with her again soon. 
         Another thing that happened this week is we found our first love scorpion in our house. While I was in class my sisters started screaming then my phone started blowing up with messages about a scorpion downstairs. While I was on break I killed the scorpion and was the hero of the day
          Yesterday we had a devotional on a talk from Elder Gong that I really enjoyed, he talked about how our first goal as missionaries is not to baptize people and make them members of our church. Our first goal should be to bring others closer to Christ. This is the most important part of being a missionary and all of you can do it too. We want to teach people that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love them and care about them and that they can find happiness in them. I know that we were out in this earth to find happiness and that the best way to do that is through them.  I hope you all have an amazing week!

  I'm not a huge fan of writing emails but apparently people want me to write more. Therefore I am going to default to bulletpoints This was a super awesome awesome week and it had a lot of miracles - I'm starting to really love Oregon. The weather is beautiful and the branch is amazing. I've never seen a more unified branch and I'm honored to be a part of it.  - We got to talk to a very drunk guy who had a really big Bible in Guatemala so that was sweet. We also talked to a guy smoking a cigar that says we should wear baby clothes to protect us so maybe I'll take that into consideration.  - We got to go to the Portland temple with two new converts and this was a super cool experience. Everyone in the branch that could go went and drove the hour to support their fellow members. Week 31/32

Hola! Cómo están? I hope all is well, and I am sorry for not sending an email last week, I started it but then forgot to finish and send it. Anyways, here's my last 2 weeks On Sunday, I found out that I was going to get transferred to Las Matas, which is a very small town about 40 minutes from the Haitian border.   I spent most of Monday packing, but we had a service project with Tony, which was a lot of fun. We helped him paint a house, and that all went pretty well.   On Tuesday we spent most of the day saying goodbye to all the members. That was really sad because I had been there for 5 months and they became super good friends. That is one of the hard parts about the mission. You get used to changing really fast.   Wednesday was transfers, so we woke up at 6 and left at 8 for the capital. The guagua driver was not very pleased with how heavy our suitcases were.
