Week 6

 Hola a Todos! 

I hope you are all doing well.  A this is my final week in the mtc there is not much that is going on.  I got my travel itinerary for the Dominican Republic this week but I currently do not have my visa so I'm not sure what is happening.  I really do not want to get reassigned but I know that God has a plan and there are people that need to get taught the gospel everywhere.  Spanish is coming along, i'm definitely not fluent but i think that ill be okay.  I guess we will see when I get there haha.  I'm especially grateful for the 1 way mirror that we have in our classroom.  I don't know why it is there but it is a lot of fun.  I am also grateful for my Spanish teacher Hermano Wilson.  He is the best and has taught me a ton of spanish.  This week I finished going through the Atonement section in the topical guide.  This was an awesome experience.  Overall I learned that Christ's atonement is for everyone.  He loves all of his children and cares about them all.  He is anxiously awaiting for each one of his children to take his hand.  His atonement is infinite and perfect.  I know Christ loves me and he loves each one of you.  I invite all of you to study the atonement of Christ and as you study and pray I promise that you will feel Christ love and infinite atoning sacrifice.  I hope you all have an amazing week.  The next time I email I'll hopefully be in the DR.  Love you all.  If you'd like to email feel free to reach out at   jonah.greer@missionary.org

Week 8

  I'm not a huge fan of writing emails but apparently people want me to write more. Therefore I am going to default to bulletpoints This was a super awesome awesome week and it had a lot of miracles - I'm starting to really love Oregon. The weather is beautiful and the branch is amazing. I've never seen a more unified branch and I'm honored to be a part of it.  - We got to talk to a very drunk guy who had a really big Bible in Guatemala so that was sweet. We also talked to a guy smoking a cigar that says we should wear baby clothes to protect us so maybe I'll take that into consideration.  - We got to go to the Portland temple with two new converts and this was a super cool experience. Everyone in the branch that could go went and drove the hour to support their fellow members. Week 31/32

Hola! Cómo están? I hope all is well, and I am sorry for not sending an email last week, I started it but then forgot to finish and send it. Anyways, here's my last 2 weeks On Sunday, I found out that I was going to get transferred to Las Matas, which is a very small town about 40 minutes from the Haitian border.   I spent most of Monday packing, but we had a service project with Tony, which was a lot of fun. We helped him paint a house, and that all went pretty well.   On Tuesday we spent most of the day saying goodbye to all the members. That was really sad because I had been there for 5 months and they became super good friends. That is one of the hard parts about the mission. You get used to changing really fast.   Wednesday was transfers, so we woke up at 6 and left at 8 for the capital. The guagua driver was not very pleased with how heavy our suitcases were.
