Week 28

Hola! Klk! Hope you all are having an awesome week and are doing well. This week was a pretty good week with a few interesting things that happened.

First think is that Chrismel got baptized this week! This was super awesome and it was a super special experience to watch her to take this step in her life. It is a day I will never forget.

We also ran out of water with week and so we haven't had running water for about 3 days. Its been rough and I definitely didnt realize how important running water is in a house. I will be forever grateful for water.

We got to go the the Nobles house this week. They're a family in our branch that live in the states for half the year. Hermano Noble worked for the Kansas city Royals beisball team and so he is a super cool guy. It also appears that he has worked so many different jobs I dint know how to count them.

Apparently I'm really good at pool. Thank you very much Grandma and Grandpa Porter!

My companion and I had to run away from a girl that is absolutely obsessed with us. We always walk by her house and normally she just yells "come here!!" but this time she decided that she would take things into her own hands and chase up to get a photo.

We had exchanges on Tuesday and so we all bought our own pizza. The Dominicans at little ceasers thought we were absolutely insane and so did our neighboors. It was really funny looking at all the people's faces as we passed by.

We got an email saying that we needed to delete any illegal music we had and just like that all of our music is gone.

We also had zone conference this week. I've really come to love zone conference and just being and learning from other missionaries. The Spirit this is always super powerful.

This leads to my spiritual thought. At zone conference we were challenged to fast for 40 days. This is not a fast from food and water but instead a fast of things we felt prompted to fast from to become a more consecrated missionary. We started with an actual fast to seek revelation. As I fasted I thought of many things I could drop. I would first think of something second, I'd realize that it was revelation and finally realize that it was something that I really didn't want to drop. It was and has been hard. One of the things I felt strongly to fast from was naps during luch. At first I didn't understand why and it was hard. But as I've kept this commitment I've had many good thought and other revalation come while thinking and studying during lunch.

Anyways my point is that many times we will be asked to do things that we don't want to do or that are hard. For a time we will struggle with the sacrifice but I promise that there is always a reason. There is always a reason for the sacrifice. I know that as we fully commit ourselves to the will of the Lord we will be blessed.
