Week 40/41
Hola como estan todos!
These last 2 weeks have been awesome and have been full of work and fun, I don't have a ton of time so I apologize if this email is a little short.
On p day we went on a super cool hike to a waterfall. We hired a taxi but the road was really bad and so he dropped us off a little far from the trail head. It was still super fun and super pretty. I forgot how much i love being outdoors and hiking
We have a pizza tower in our apartment and it has almost gotten all of the way to the ceiling.
My comp and I have been feeling very motivated to workout and so this week during lunch we made a Gym on our roof. It has a bench and a few different curl bars and a few other cool things.
We also have made progress on our Jesus wall.
We had many miracles this week especially one of the daughters of an inactive member recently asked to be baptized which is a miracle we have been praying for for a long time.
I went on 2 exchanges this week, one of them to Elisa Pina and the other one I was here in my area.
Our friend Rubens has been killing it with the missionary work. We will leave with him often and he will go up to random Haitians and ask them if they want to change. When they say yes he turns to us and says that he wants to change, and then explains to the people that Jesus will help them change.
For my spiritual thought I invite you all to look for the small miracles in your lives. I know that we can find great happiness when we focus on the small but important miracles . One miracle I saw this week was when we were finding. It was hot and no one was ready to listen to us. I said to my comp that i really wanted ice cream (it's really cheap here). He said yeah me too and then not even 10 seconds later we heard our ice cream man singing his song. Yes, he drives around in his car with a microphone singing and selling ice cream all day. He then gave us our ice cream for super cheap. I know he was sent from God. God loves and knows us. He is watching us in our trials and He sends us help. Sometimes we just have to open our eyes.
Have a great week!!
