Week 45/46

Buen día! Espero que ustedes estén bien y hayan tenido una gran semana!! These last few weeks have fun and full of blessings. I've learned a lot and seen the hand of the Lord more than ever.

On Saturday It rained from midnight till 10 pm without stopping

I had my last interview with Presidente Tucker and so that was super sad, he has been an amazing leader and it'll be sad to see him go.

On the way back from elias piña we got stopped by border patrol and had our papers checked, that was super fun

We also have had a few exchanges. I always forgot how fun it is to learn and teach with other missionaries.

Our pizza tower is about 3 pizza from the roof.

On Saturday We got special invitations to the wedding of 2 members that got married. It was a super cool and joyful experience. Dominicans that have money really go all out on weddings. Sadly we didn't get to stay for all of it but the part we did get to stay for was super cool

I found a new love for peanut butter and honey sandwiches.

We found a very sweet family about 4 weeks ago and they have come to church the last 3 weeks. They have already read to 1 Nephi 18. It is amazing how there are people just waiting to find the gospel.

We have been teaching a lot with Rubens. He leaves to teach with us every other day and absolutely loves us. He is picking up quick and now teaches just like us. He uses all the same examples and scriptures. He wants to go on a mission more than anything but due to legal and money reasons, he probably will not be able to go. He has instead decided to be missionary with us. He invites all to come unto Christ and if it wasn't for him we couldn't teach a lot of people.

I have also been able to pick up some Creole from Rubens and so that has been fun.

I also met a man who has 27 children

Overall the last few weeks have been super awesome and now it's time for my spiritual thought

I have recently been studying in the war chapters of the book of mormon especially about Moroni. In alma chapter 48 it gives many characteristics of Moroni,
- He is a stong and mighty man
- his soul did rejoice in liberty
- his heart did swell with thanksgiving to God
- He was a man who's faith was firm in christ
- he supported his wife and children

I especially like in verse 17 where it says,
"Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men"

So my invitation for all of you, What can we do to be more like Captian Moroni?

Have a great week!
