Week 60

 Hola! 2 weeks in a row? Dont worry this wont happen too often but this week we had a good week. (This was going to be two weeks in a row but i ran out if time, oops.)

On sunday we got a call from the APs tell us that we were going to have a lesson with Elder Cordón and Presidente Hernandez, on tuesday. Tey told us to make sure the lesson was confirmed and so we we set uo a lesson with an investigator and didnt think much of it. On tuesday we confirmed in the morning but then at 5:30, two hours before the lesson he canceled. We are very nervous bc now we have a 70 coming to teach with us but no lesson. We latter foind out thay him canceling was the hand of God because instead we were able to to schedule another appointment and teach the best lesson i have ever heard taught. Well elder Cordón and Presidente Hernandez taught and me and my comp listed but it was amazing. I have never fell such a powerful spirit before and i jnow that our liders are call of God

We also had zone conference with Elder Cordon which was also amazing. He taught us how importante it is that we study and learn om the bible and the book of mormon

The areas that we work in are all filled with rats. This week i saw a rat the size of a cat, i didnt know that was possible. 

I accidently dropped my phone 2 storys. There basicly isnt internet on out house and so i set my phone on the windowsill to grt service and it fell. Luckily by some miracle only the screen protector cracked a little bit. 

We had stake conference which was crazy, i thibk we had about 700 people there and the building was defenitly not big enough but we managed. 

We are teaching a guy who said he was baptized when he was young in our church but then he went inactive. Hes now 43 and jas been looking for the true church. He baptized himslef in 7 diffrent churches before coming back to us. He is now ready to get baptized again but this to stay. We just have to help him and his wife get married. 

We talked to a guy and he told us that the first missionaries every ti come to the contry taught him and lived under his house. I actually belive him becauae he got the year right.

My creol has been coming along. Ive found its a fun way to connect with people even though i can hardly speak anything. 

We did a fun scavenge in a huge mall. I felt like i was in the usa again. 

I think thats pretty much it. 

Spiritual thought:

For this i just want to share a scripture that my companion showed me the other day. 

24 For behold, ye shall be as a whale in the midst of the sea; for the mountain waves shall dash upon you. Nevertheless, I will bring you up again out of the depths of the sea; for the winds have gone forth out of my mouth, and also the rains and the floods have I sent forth. 25 And behold, I prepare you against these things; for ye cannot cross this great deep save I prepare you against the waves of the sea, and the winds which have gone forth, and the floods which shall come.

  I'm not a huge fan of writing emails but apparently people want me to write more. Therefore I am going to default to bulletpoints This was a super awesome awesome week and it had a lot of miracles - I'm starting to really love Oregon. The weather is beautiful and the branch is amazing. I've never seen a more unified branch and I'm honored to be a part of it.  - We got to talk to a very drunk guy who had a really big Bible in Guatemala so that was sweet. We also talked to a guy smoking a cigar that says we should wear baby clothes to protect us so maybe I'll take that into consideration.  - We got to go to the Portland temple with two new converts and this was a super cool experience. Everyone in the branch that could go went and drove the hour to support their fellow members. Week 31/32

Hola! Cómo están? I hope all is well, and I am sorry for not sending an email last week, I started it but then forgot to finish and send it. Anyways, here's my last 2 weeks On Sunday, I found out that I was going to get transferred to Las Matas, which is a very small town about 40 minutes from the Haitian border.   I spent most of Monday packing, but we had a service project with Tony, which was a lot of fun. We helped him paint a house, and that all went pretty well.   On Tuesday we spent most of the day saying goodbye to all the members. That was really sad because I had been there for 5 months and they became super good friends. That is one of the hard parts about the mission. You get used to changing really fast.   Wednesday was transfers, so we woke up at 6 and left at 8 for the capital. The guagua driver was not very pleased with how heavy our suitcases were.
