Week 62
Holaaaaa! Koman ou ye?
These last weeks have been pretty good and we already had transfers again! My new companion is named Elder Silva and he's from Brazil! He is super cool! This is only his second transfer in the field and so i'll be finishing his training. He also just got to the country 4 days ago. He doesnt really speak spanish or english so cominication has been interesting. Luckly he understands almost everything in spanish and he seems to being picking up the speaking part quickly so that's awesome.
Getting to see everyone at transfers was so much fun.
We had another lesson with elder Cordón and it was so amazing. I can not put into words the power and spirit that is there when he teaches. I know that what he teaches is true.
This week was super hot for some reason.
We got to leave with Elder Jean Baptist and that was super fun, he is haitian and he wanted to help us with some of our friends. He knows how to connect with everyone and is so kind and loving.
Things between haiti and the Dominican Republic are bad right now so please pray that they will be able to resolve their problems.
We had a water fight for zone p day and that was suoer fun. I love this zone
We recently met a man named Patrick and he is so amazing. He is from haiti and like most haitians he works way more than he should. He works monday-friday as an electrician from 7-5 and then he enters his second job as a security guard at 6pm-7am. He told us this and I thought to myself oh he's never going to come to church but we decided to invite him and he came! Not only did he come but he was the first person there. He had gotten home from work at 7 am, showered and got in his church clothes and then headed straight for the church to be there at 8:30. When we asked him how church went he said ,”I'm going next week!!!" He said he felt loved and welcomed. This is the role of the members. You guys do matter and i invite you, please if you see someone visiting, say hi, introduce yourselves and trust me. It makes a difference.
