Week 74

It's been a super long time since I have written so I apologize. The last few weeks have been super awesome. We have found lots of new people and many people will be baptized soon.

This week we had three different Christmas parties and so that was fun. the members here are incredible. They always are super supporting of missionary work.

We also got to go out to lunch with Elder Jean Baptist and so that was super fun. He's such a cool guy.

At church we had a lot of friends come and that was super cool. It's so awesome to see the smiles on their faces when they come. It's always cool when they invite their friends as well.

We got news from transfers and we found out that my companion will be training and I will be a Zone leader.

On Friday I got transferred to Baní. It is located in the southern part of my mission close to the ocean. It is smaller than the capital and bigger than las matas de farfan. People in the mission say there are lots of mangoes in my new area. . The church is average. There were 70 people in church yesterday including 7 people investigating the church.

Our house is pretty nice. It’s pretty big. It is better than my last house. One cool thing about our house is we live with 4 elders and they are all awesome.

My companion is elder van leeuwen. He is from utah. He is the oldest of 4 children. His dad works as a dentist. His three favorite things to do when he is not preaching the word are: 1) working out, 2) play piano and 3) teach the word. He has been out for 14 months. Before the mission he did a bit of everything.

Thanks dad for the help^

Anyways this week was fun

For some reason Bani has a ton of baseball players here and the other day we were contacting and we saw a Ferrari and so of course we walked over and say hi to the guy. His name was José Ramirez. He said he played for the MLB but we had never heard of him before. It turns out he’s pretty good.

Other than that it was just a normal week getting to know the area. It's super nice and I really like it here.

It'll be an awesome transfer

Anyways, remember to light the world and share the light of Christ!

Merry Christmas

Elder jonah greer
