Week 86
Saludos! Ojalá estén super bien! Its been a really long time since ive written a letter so i hope you can alp forgive me. The last transfer was a good one and we were able to have a lot of success. The best past was the baptism of Erika! She is 19 years old and was just waiting for the gospel of Jesus Christ. She filled out a Facebook add asking for a book of Mormon and hasn't missed church since the day she started going. It is amazing to see how some people are just ready.
We also have been teaching un hermano that at one point was a active priesthood holder and even was called to be the Sunday School president. Things happened in his life and he hasn't been to church for 30 years. We started teaching him and this week he surprised us and came. It was so so cool. He was able to meet a member that was there when he was baptized and it was so special.
I got a new comp and his name is elder De la rosa, he is from La Vega DR. He seems to be super awesome, he is going to teach me a lot. He likes to play basketball and talk with people. It was pretty great. Élder standage is also training a new missionary and so that has been a ton of fun.
We've been focusing a lot on finding new people and its been going super well. We've been able to meet a lot of really cool people which has been awesome. Its cool how nice the people are here.
We went to the dunas de Baní which were basically just dunes that run into the beach. It was a lot of fun but somehow we got bitten by some bugs and now our legs are covered with bug bites
Anyways now for the spiritual thought
God loves you and has a plan for you. If there's one thing i've learned on the mission its this. Things happen for a reason and if we follow the commandments of God, we don't have to worry about a thing.
