Saludos a todos! Cómo están! This week had plbeen a pretty good week and I hope that you all have had a great week as well. This week we started our by going out to San Juan for zone pday and that was fun. We played volleyball and hung out as a zone. We then had exchanges with the ZLs and so we just stayed in San Juan until the exchange the next day. The exchange was pretty fun. It was crazy how different our areas are. My area is huge and covers an entire town and a bunch more and they're just covers a tiny part of San Juan. I definitely prefer my area.  Also on Tuesday we had zone council and that went well. Me and Elder Bowden set some really high goals and on Wednesday we really started working on them. We started talking to everybody on the street and Inviting them to church. We also had a lot of fun lessons, we did have to take Lisa off date and so that was sad. Today I also tried to start learning Creole. Hey, how are you all! Things are going pretty good here. This week was kinda crazy so I have a few fun things to write about On Monday we went to elis piña which is a small town on the hatian border, there's a huge Hatian market there that has a ton of cool stuff. It's mostly stuff that has been donated to Haiti from America and then taken here to be sold. It was fun walking around the market and seeing all the the American stuff.  On the way back though, there are 5 or 6 military border checkpoints that you have to stop at because they are looking for illegal hatians, but we normally bring our papers with us because they sometimes will check us too. Anyways this time we forgot and we made it through the first 5 checkpoints without getting checked but on the last one he asked us for papers and we said,  they're in the house" and then he started asking us a ton of questions and we finally just said, "we're the Mormons" and showed him our name tags and he l...

  Buenos días! Cómo están? This week was a crazy week and so that was super awesome First I got to talk about rubens, Rubens is one of our new Haitian members and he is super awesome. If you don't know 90 percent of the Hatians here are illegal and they have to he careful walking around outside or else they'll get deported. Long story short Rubens loves coming to our English class and after class him and his friend while walking home from class got taken by the police. We got the call and were pretty sad. The next day we decided to go to the police station and ask for him to be freed, sadly they said no and took him off to Haiti. We were pretty sad and we knew that he would come back but we weren't sure when. Well 3 days later we walk past a member's house and Rubens is there!! It was so awesome to see him back haha. Holaaaa como están todo? I hope that you all had a great week and that things are good. Not a ton happened this. itight be a little short, but that's okay. I also keep forgetting to send these to my parents so this will be 2 weeks of my life All the kids around here have big whips that they go around cracking all the time. I really wanted one, but I wasn't sure how to make one soooo One day, we walked by I kid using one and I just asked to buy it from him. He didn't even blink and eye and said how much will you give me. I said 200 pesos and he said yes. It was a good deal and we both walked away happy and now i have a whip.   Fast forward 3 days and we're walking at night when a bunch of kids walk up to us. We almost always have kids following us aro8nd so it wasn't unormal. Then all the suden one of the kids goes, " you're the gringo that bought my whip, i have another one if you want" Sadly I didn't have money to buy it so I only have 1 whip.   O...

Hola! Cómo están? I hope all is well, and I am sorry for not sending an email last week, I started it but then forgot to finish and send it. Anyways, here's my last 2 weeks On Sunday, I found out that I was going to get transferred to Las Matas, which is a very small town about 40 minutes from the Haitian border.   I spent most of Monday packing, but we had a service project with Tony, which was a lot of fun. We helped him paint a house, and that all went pretty well.   On Tuesday we spent most of the day saying goodbye to all the members. That was really sad because I had been there for 5 months and they became super good friends. That is one of the hard parts about the mission. You get used to changing really fast.   Wednesday was transfers, so we woke up at 6 and left at 8 for the capital. The guagua driver was not very pleased with how heavy our suitcases were.
