Hola! Klk! Hope you all are having an awesome week and are doing well. This week was a pretty good week with a few interesting things that happened.  First think is that Chrismel got baptized this week! This was super awesome and it was a super special experience to watch her to take this step in her life. It is a day I will never forget.   We also ran out of water with week and so we haven't had running water for about 3 days. Its been rough and I definitely didnt realize how important running water is in a house. I will be forever grateful for water.  We got to go the the Nobles house this week. They're a family in our branch that live in the states for half the year. Hermano Noble worked for the Kansas city Royals beisball team and so he is a super cool guy. It also appears that he has worked so many different jobs I dint know how to count them.  Apparently I'm really good at pool. Thank you very much Grandma and Grandpa Porter! My companion and I had ...

Hola! Como están? I forgot to send this last week so you guys are going to get a 2 in 1. This week was a pretty good week and so that was good. I officially have 4 months in the DR which is absolutely crazy. It still feels like yesterday that I got here bit it's been super cool to see how fast I've adjusted to everything. It definitely is a miracle  This week we had to take pizza to our zone council which was interesting because carrying 6 boxes of pizza and 2 bags of crazy bread doesn't really work to well in a guagua where they try to put as many people possible on the guagua. It was a very uncomfortable ride.  The rain has started again so almost everyday it'll rain. The Dominicans absolutely hate the rain and they belive if you touch the rain that you are going to the get the "Gripe"(cold). As soon as the rain starts to fall the streets are empty. They also are really nice, every single dominican will invite us Inside if see us in the rain. This is reall...

Buenas días a todos! Yo espero que todo este bien con ustedes and sus familias! This week was a pretty good week and so that's awesome.  I got my new companion on Wednesday, his name is Elder Hansen and he's pretty cool. Hes from utah and he has about a year in the mission. It feels really weird to be comps with someone that is somewhat close in time to me. I like it.  Now that Elder Gray is gone I actually have to learn how to cook. It's been a lot of fun but I definitely have a ways to go.  Elder Hansen taught me that if you put oreos in the freezer they taste a thousand times better. That was true and now I have an addiction to oreos.  We met quite a few people from Haití this week that want to learn and come to church. The only problem is they don't really speak Spanish or english. Most of the time, the people from Haiti know a good amount of english but these ones don't. This has inspired me to start learning Hatian Creole. It's going pretty well.  I've...

Wey klk todos, I hope you all had a fantastic new year. The new year here is absolutely insane. The party starts on Saturday then they dance and drink though the night till about 4am take a short break till 8 and then they start the party back up again till that night. Then they have a little more party time Monday just for the fun if it. They sure are a party people and I love them all.   Other than that this week has been pretty normal. I was in a trio for the week because Elder Gray left and I don't get my new comp till Wednesday. It was definitely interesting and it was fun for a bit but I'm excited to get my new comp.   This week I also did an English fast and that was a lot of fun. It's been crazy to see how much my Spanish has grown. I still remember getting here and just thinking I'll never learn Spanish but now I can joke and talk reasonably well. It's awesome and the gift of tongues is definitely real. We went to get rabies shots for Elder Gonzales this ...
